- Film at Sydney Markets - Draft May 2026
An Iconic Sydney Setting.
Your Next Location.
Sydney Markets is one of the city's most atmospheric, operationally active sites — open around the clock, alive with colour, movement, and authentic character. A backdrop unlike anywhere else in Australia.
A Venue Like No Other in Sydney
From pre-dawn produce runs to sweeping rooftop vistas, Sydney Markets delivers unscripted, authentic atmosphere that no studio can replicate.
Unique, Authentic Locations
An operating produce and flower market, rooftop carparks, open floors, loading bays, and public plazas — all within one 40-hectare site in Sydney's inner-west.
Competitive, Transparent Pricing
Our fees are clearly published and competitive compared to other major Sydney venues. No hidden costs. An invoice is issued only after your application is approved.
Dedicated On-Site Support
Our Operations team issues crew media visitor passes and supports your production throughout. All access managed via our Control Centre on Austin Avenue.
Where You Can Film
Multiple distinct environments across the Sydney Markets site — each with its own visual character and operational atmosphere.
Sydney Produce Market
Australia's largest wholesale produce market. Vast trading floors, pre-dawn light, forklifts, and frenetic energy that no set dresser could manufacture. Ideal for documentaries, commercials, and drama.
Sydney Flower Market
One of the most visually striking environments in Sydney — rows of fresh-cut flowers in every colour, natural light, and the busy rhythm of a working floral trade hub.
Carpark V Rooftop
Elevated views across western Sydney with Australia's largest private-sector rooftop solar system as a backdrop. Striking and modern — ideal for automotive, tech, or lifestyle shoots.
Sydney Markets Plaza & Open Areas
External roads, loading areas, plazas, and open market environments. Versatile locations for a wide range of productions including student films, documentaries, and TV series.
Filming & Photography Fees
All fees are location fees. An invoice is issued only after your application is approved. A late notice fee applies for bookings with less than 3 days' notice.
