Everything you need to know about accessing Sydney Markets as a wholesale buyer.
Become a Buyer
Are you a business owner who requires wholesale volumes of fresh flowers, fruits, and vegetables? Sydney Markets is the right place for you.
Greengrocers, providores, food manufacturers, restaurant and cafe owners, caterers, florists, and event managers with a valid ABN are all eligible to apply.
Before You Apply
Sydney Markets offers two types of access passes depending on which areas you need to trade in:
- General Trading Area (GTA) Buyer's Pass — access to Buildings A, B, C, D & E
- Flower Market Access Pass — access to Building F from 5am
- Combined Pass — access to both areas
If you are an employee of a wholesale agent looking for a GTA Access Pass, please visit Market Central, Building B.
You will be allowed entry to the Sydney Growers Market Building D, Sydney Produce Market Buildings A, B, and C, and the Banana Market Building E. These buildings are where wholesale fruit and vegetables are sold by wholesale agents and growers from 3.00am Monday and Friday, and from 4.00am Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.
You will be allowed early access from 5am Monday to Friday to the Sydney Flower Market Building F, and trade with the flower growers and wholesalers.
No. Each Buyer's Pass is valid only for the person to whom it is issued. You cannot share or transfer it to another person. You will be required to take a photograph when you collect your pass — it is a photo ID card showing your name and business name.
No. Access to Sydney Growers Market Building D, Sydney Produce Market Buildings A, B, and C, and the Banana Market Building E during restricted Monday to Friday trading hours is limited to those with a registered Buyer's Pass.
Members of the public are encouraged to shop at Paddy's Markets Flemington Building D every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Pass Pricing
Current costs for 2024–2025:
- General Trading Area Pass ONLY — $63.80 incl. GST
- Flower Market ONLY — $36.90 incl. GST
- GTA Pass AND Flower Market — $100.70 incl. GST
Passes are valid for the financial year (July–June) at the time of registration. For example, a pass registered in December 2023 expires on 30 June 2024.
How to Register
Registration is online only at www.smlbuyershub.com.au. There are no paper registrations.
Please have your business information and credit card ready for secure payment. Once registered, you will immediately receive an email invoice and collection instructions — check your spam folder just in case.

GTA or GTA & Flower Market pass: Collect at Market Central in front of Building B on Centre Road, open Monday to Friday 4am–9am.
Flower Market Only pass: Collect at the Flower Market office at Building F, open Monday to Friday 5am–9am.
Please bring personal identification (e.g. driver's licence or passport) and your Sydney Markets email invoice as proof of payment. You will be photographed on the spot for your pass.
The renewal process is identical to the initial registration. Log in at smlbuyershub.com.au using the email or mobile number you used when you first registered.
No. Your Buyer's Pass does not cover Sydney Markets parking permits or daily casual entry fees. If you require a parking permit, please visit the Cashiers Office in Building D.
By registering, Sydney Markets Limited may contact you with relevant news, trading hours, public holiday closures, industry updates, and Fresh Awards information where eligible. You also agree to Sydney Markets Limited's Privacy Policy.
