Sydney Markets operates across two major Sydney locations: Flemington and Haymarket.

Sydney Markets at Flemington is home to Australia's largest wholesale fresh produce and flower markets, together with Paddy's Markets Flemington.

Paddy's Markets and the public trading period of the Sydney Flower Market are open to members of the public.
The Sydney Produce Market, Growers Market and Banana Market are restricted to registered commercial buyers during Monday–Friday wholesale trading.
If you're visiting Flemington, remember that this is also a busy working wholesale market. Watch for trucks, forklifts and other commercial vehicles and follow onsite signage.
Buying wholesale for your business
Sydney Markets provides registered commercial buyers with direct access to fresh produce, growers, wholesalers and flower suppliers. A Buyer's Pass is required to enter restricted wholesale areas during Monday–Friday trading.
General Trading Area Pass
Provides wholesale access to:
- Sydney Produce Market
- Sydney Growers Market
- Banana Market
Suitable for greengrocers, retailers, hospitality businesses, food service operators and commercial produce buyers.
Flower Market Pass
Provides early commercial access to the Sydney Flower Market in Building F.
Suitable for florists, event stylists, floral businesses and commercial flower buyers.
Combined Pass
Provides access to both the General Trading Area and Sydney Flower Market.
Suitable for businesses purchasing both fresh produce and flowers.
Wholesale access times
Applying & collecting your pass
Buyer's Pass applications are completed online. You'll need your business details and current identification.
General Trading Area and Combined passes are collected from Market Central in front of Building B. Flower Market passes are collected from the Flower Market office in Building F.
Your pass does not include parking permits or daily casual vehicle entry fees.

Working at Sydney Markets
Sydney Markets is a controlled working environment. Employees working within restricted areas need the appropriate identification and must comply with site access, safety, traffic and security requirements.
Access & identification
Employees requiring access to controlled areas must have the appropriate Sydney Markets access identification.
- Carry your access identification when working onsite.
- Do not lend or share access credentials.
- Follow access controls for restricted areas and after-hours entry.
- Provide identification when requested by an authorised officer.
Employees of wholesale agents seeking a GTA Access Pass should start at Market Central, Building B.
New or replacement access
If you're a new employee, or your existing access identification has been lost or needs replacement, speak with your employer before attending Sydney Markets.
Employer documentation and personal identification may be required as part of the application and verification process.
Market Central can assist with current access pass requirements and collection arrangements.
Working safely onsite
Sydney Markets includes active wholesale trading areas, loading areas, roads and common areas with regular forklift, truck and vehicle movements.
- Follow traffic signs, safety signage and authorised directions.
- Keep roadways, pedestrian routes, fire exits and common areas clear.
- Do not interfere with safety or fire equipment.
- Report hazards, spills or unsafe conditions promptly.
- Use plant and equipment only when appropriately authorised and licensed.
Delivering or operating onsite
Sydney Markets is a major 24-hour working market environment. Drivers, delivery operators and commercial vehicles need to comply with access, unloading, parking, safety and security requirements.

Delivery cut-off times currently published for the General Trading Area are:
Semi-trailers may be directed to designated unloading areas. Always follow directions from Sydney Markets personnel.
Vehicles & parking
- Use designated vehicle entrances and access routes.
- Observe posted speed limits and traffic signage.
- Park only in designated parking areas.
- Do not obstruct roadways, loading areas or common areas.
- Vehicle entry charges or parking permits may apply.
- Vehicles may be inspected when leaving controlled areas.
Empty semi-trailers and vehicles not involved in approved Market activity must not occupy unauthorised parking areas.
